Big Announcement...

We got a new little puppy! We picked her up this afternoon from a nearby shelter. They estimated that she's about 3 months old and some kind of retreiver/lab mix. We named her Bella. Here are a few pictures of the new addition.

And poor Ivan and Emily don't know what to do when they aren't the center of attention So here's some pictures of them. Here's Ivan wondering if he's going to like his new little sister.

Emily doesn't look like a happy camper but inside she's excited about her little sister.

Labor Day in Baton Rouge

Spent last weekend with the fam in Louisiana. We stayed for a few days in Baton Rouge and then we went to Dana's family camp after church on Sunday and stayed until Monday. Get ready for some cuteness...

Kate all decked out and ready for the boat. She's a mean recorder player.
Julie and Kate

Cole and Ryan

Kate in her spot. This is where she rode most of the time. When someone would fall skiing or tubing she would get up to make sure they were ok then she would get back in her spot.

Julie, Jonathan and Cole tubing

Julie and Kate tubing. We couldn't tell if she liked it or not. She wasn't crying though so I think she liked it.

Ryan wakeboarding (or water boarding as my dad calls it)

Foggy Labor Day morning
Cole is in kindergarten now so he is too cool for school.
It was a great long weekend. Alot of memories were made.

August Happenings

We've had a fun August. D took me to see Mamma Mia for my birthday. It was cute but seriously hard to get all the Abba songs out of my head.

At the beginning of the month the newlyweds, Julie and Mike, came to visit us. We tried to entertain them with all the fun stuff to do in Dallas so they would want to move here. But I don't think it worked.
We went to a Rangers game and got stuck in a rain delay.

Here we are at Raising Canes. This was on our way to Ikea so we had to stop.
Then the next weekend my parents came into town. We mostly just drove them around to see all their friends.
We went out to dinner with my mom's brother and family.
And I drove them out to Frisco to see my mom's best friend Kay.

And here is Emily saying goodbye to all our houseguests.

Thanks for coming! We love you guys!

Then here are some pictures from my trip to Houston to see all the cute kids down there. I already posted the video of Andrew so here's a picture of Blake. He was saying cheese and everytime he said cheese he would hold his cars out so they would be in the picture too.

We went over to see Jenn and the twins. She is such a good mommy.
Here is Shandra with Jenna
And Jenn with Jenna

And here they both are. Jenna and Ellie. They are so sweet!

So that's my August recap. We had a great summer but now we are ready for fall to get here.

NKOTB round 2

I'm using this blog as my scrapbook so I couldn't leave out the pictures from last weekend New Kids on the Block concert. Their concerts are always so much fun and this one didn't disappoint.
Amy, me, Cantrelle and Jenna
These are girls that we have played softball with for the past several years. They are so much fun.

Colorado Trip

A little late but here are some pictures from our trip to Colorado, July 4-11th...
We left home on July 4th and drove halfway to Raton, NM. We found a spot to enjoy the 4th of July fireworks.
Then we drove on to Vail, CO where we stayed for 4 days. It was wonderful. This is D and the dogs in Vail Village on the first day we were there.
We went hiking on the first day and enjoyed these views.

And this is what the dogs did the rest of the night.

More hiking pictures. And these pictures really don't do it justice. Everything in Colorado is so picturesque.

We weren't far from Breckenridge so we drove over there one day to shop and eat. Here are the dogs chilling by the creek in Breckenridge.

Then on the last day we went on another long hike. We saw this 50 foot waterfall but I couldn't get a really good picture of it without falling off of a cliff.
Ivan enjoying the scenery on our lunch break.

On the way home we stayed one night with our friends Krista and Dustin.

Then we saw some sights near Colorado Springs. Here is a family picture at the Garden of the Gods.
And we drove up to the top of Pikes Peak.
The dogs loved the 46 degree temperature at the top of the peak.

High School

Last weekend we went to a renuion of some of my high school friends. The reunion was actually for the class of 1989 but their class was small so they invited a few other classes to join in. We didn't have as many people as we did at our 10 year reunion but it was still fun. They did a slideshow so I scanned in a bunch of pictures from high school. Here are a few...
These are our ugly uniforms
This is from our Jr./Sr. Banquet. No prom at Shady Grove! Our private school was so strict on dress code and we had to have sleeves on our dress. That was hard to find.

And here we are now. Notice none of the girls have sleeves.

This post is dedicated to Kari McCall Long who was unable to attend. We missed you Kari!!!
